Step 1: Sign Up
After signing up you will receive a confirmation email. You will then receive a welcome kit that includes several pre-addressed envelopes for your convenience.
Step 2: Collect some bugs
Collect some dead bugs (we recommend 3-5 of each species) and put them in the pre-addressed envelope. If you are using your own envelope, please be sure that the bugs are in a plastic bag and remove any excess air.

Step 4: Receive notification
Once we receive your dead bugs we will email you. This way you will know the date when the “zapping” process begins.
Step 5: See the results
Within 7-10 days, the colony should be completely destroyed. Keep in mind that other pests from other colonies may still be present in your home. In that case, please mail additional dead bugs at no extra cost. Your monthly subscription allows you to send bugs any time you choose.

How long does the DNA last?
The viability of DNA can vary greatly based on many factors. As a general rule, viable DNA will remain present in a dead bug for at least several weeks and often for several months.
What kinds of bugs can be eliminated?
Zap That Bug works with all common household pests. All bugs have DNA and are subject to the same laws of physics. At Zap That Bug, we have the matching frequencies for every possible bug you may be looking to eliminate! Please note, we only use low frequencies that target smaller pests that crawl, jump, and fly. For larger critters like mice, rats, and scorpions we recommend you contact a local exterminator.
Can I continue to use other pest control methods?
Yes! You can continue to use any traps, sprays, or professional services you choose. Our service can be used in conjunction with them.
Bed bug treatments are expensive! Can you help?
Absolutely! Bed bugs are very resilient and can survive for months without food. A single female bed bug can start an infestation.
Here’s the good news! If you have a bed bug infestation in your home, it is a near certainty that all your bed bugs are part of the same colony! If you gather a few dead bed bugs and send them to us, Zap That Bug will target the entire colony for extermination. You can expect to see the entire colony gone within a matter of days.

How long does it take to see results?
Most pests are killed within 7-10 days from the day we start targeting them. There are many factors that play a role. Keep in mind that when we eliminate a colony of ants, we are not destroying all the ants on the planet. Different colonies of bugs carry slightly different DNA and will require a separate sample. This is why your monthly fee allows you to mail samples as often as you like.
My dog gets ticks. Can this help?
Absolutely! Zap That Bug is able to rid your property of most fleas and ticks. Not only will this help your struggling pets, but you and your family will be safer by significantly reducing the possibility of contracting dangerous diseases carried by ticks!

Can I send different types of bugs in the same envelope?
Yes. Keep in mind that if you are dealing with ants, spiders, fleas, earwigs, etc. you will want to make sure you send several samples of each one. If we only receive dead ants then the earwigs will go untreated.
What do you recommend for mosquitos?
Mosquitos do not have colonies. They are solitary creatures. However, we can still help eliminate them. We suggest you gather up some dead mosquitoes and send them to us. We don’t need a 1/3 cup from the outdoor bug zapper. Just 5-10 mosquitos is more than sufficient.
What about termites?
Termites do live in colonies so our service can definitely help. However, given the potential damage that termites cause we strongly recommend that you contact a local professional exterminator. A professional exterminator, while much more expensive, can help ensure that all colonies of termites on your property are eliminated or managed effectively.
